Heartfelt empathy to the members who relied on us before we had to abruptly shut down; the unannounced closure was unfortunate and unavoidable. However, by joining the regulated ranks, our hope is that it won’t happen again.
Many consider our online world as a bucket of misinformation or disinformation. The goal of this newsletter and blog is going to be an antithesis of the grifter age we find ourselves in. Yes, there will be products and promotions, as we must keep the good times rolling, but we will do my best to shed light on the saga that was legalization, as we lived it, in an unfiltered and authentic way. Now that we the we are legit we are stoked to feature the interesting, offbeat and inspiring members and contributors who previously were anonymous. As the founding member, I have challenged myself to start being more social and will try to post weekly blogs over the coming months. As someone that has lived the past decade without any social media or a real job this is going to be a challenge… deep breath.
We decided to give it an honest go and for our members - the pros of being government regulated outweigh the cons of the legacy market. So, this marks our first 4/20 fully regulated by the government. It is a “coming out” party if you will. Our choice to be regulated should not be interpreted as a huge endorsement of the government regime, but in the long run, we hope things will continue to improve. We will do our part to ensure it does!
In recent years, the legalization of cannabis for medicinal and recreational use in several states and countries have led to increased acceptance and normalization of the plant. However, the fight for full legalization and the end of the War on Drugs continues to be a central issue for many cannabis advocates, and 4/20 remains an important day for activism and awareness.
Stay dope and try to make plans this Thursday to set aside your afternoon to enjoy or complain about something different than normal. We look forward to sharing many more years to come. Thank you.

With the timing, what better topic to start with than April 20th a.k.a, "4/20". It's become a symbol of cannabis advocacy and counterculture. The origin of this date as a cannabis-related holiday is a bit unclear, with several stories and myths surrounding its beginnings. One of the most popular legends dates to the early 1970s, when a group of high school students in San Rafael, California, would meet at 4:20 pm to smoke weed. They reportedly used 4/20 as a code for marijuana, which eventually caught on among other cannabis enthusiasts. Another theory suggests that 4/20 is a reference to a police code for marijuana use. Regardless of its origins, 4/20 has become a significant date in the cannabis community, with celebrations, protests, and events taking place worldwide.
For Stash Club, there is a particular significance and complicated relationship with the day. It represents a day to celebrate, learn and meet new people. But it also represents the struggle against tyranny and harmful stigmas that are still wreaking havoc and leading to poor health and decision-making in our communities.
